About THEYA Healthcare

THEYA Healthcare was founded in 2012 by Ciara Donlon. Ciara was already running her own successful lingerie shop in Dublin and was struck by how many breast cancer survivors regularly came in looking for post-surgery bras, but she was unable to find a product that truly met their needs. 

Ciara saw that the struggle to find a suitable bra left these ladies distressed at an already difficult time in their lives, so she decided to try and create a solution herself – one that would place the wearer’s needs first and look pretty too.

With the input of 80 breast cancer survivors in Ireland and the UK, and with the support and advice of healthcare professionals, the THEYA Healthcare post-surgery range was born. Ciara chose the name THEYA – the goddess of power – to honour the strength and courage of the women who inspired the brand.
