International Women’s Day: #EmbraceEquity
•Posted on March 07 2023

#EmbraceEquity -- the theme of this year's International Women’s Day feels timely for midlife.
By 2030, the world population of menopausal and postmenopausal women is projected to increase to 1.2 billion, with 47 million new entrants each year. More than 75% of those women will experience life-disrupting symptoms like hot flashes that last 7-9 years on average.
Yet, few doctors are trained in menopause and the media and popular culture often complicate the conversation around its various aspects. There’s a huge care and education gap in women's health that, needs to be filled, which is how Become was born--to introduce FemTech innovations that bring more normalcy to a women's life.
At Become, we believe that everyone impacted by (peri) menopause should be able to:
♀be educated + empowered to take charge of their health
♀receive care from a trained doctor
♀have access to ways to manage symptoms (whatever they may be)
♀be supported by partners, family, and colleagues<
♀openly address challenges in the workplace and feel heard and supported
Let's keep listening, learning and sharing our journey so everyone impacted can tap our collective wisdom to feel seen and empowered to find what works best for them.
Happy International Women's Day
