Information, empowerment & a sense of humour
•Posted on March 11 2019

Exactly a week ago we celebrated International Women’s day, a remarkable day to celebrate many things such as extraordinary women, remember how far we have come in terms of women’s rights and remind ourselves that when we come together we can move mountains. Imagine if men were to join us too.
But it isn’t all just a celebration as it also highlights that there is so much more to be done when it comes to women’s lives. We know there are issues with gender pay gap, misogyny, abortion rights and taboos on topics such as periods and of course the menopause, which is a subject we are passionate about within the empowerment of women.
We celebrated IWD by launching Loose Women’s Andrea McLean as our Brand Ambassador! (Yup, that happened!) Something we are super thrilled about. Andrea is a beautiful soul inside & out. She’s down-to-earth, insightful and quite funny- you know how much we love our humour. This blog title says it all & we quoted Andrea on that. We genuinely agree with whoever said “laughter is the best medicine”, they really knew what they were talking about.
We’ve opened up the dialogue about breaking the last taboo with Andrea leading the conversation as our official meno queen.
Become team with Andrea, Johnny, Richard, Jess & Hannah at the Press launch on International Women's Day at Soho House
Thank you so much to Nick Ede & Hannah for the continued PR support, what an incredible start to our partnership, Richard Squire from Retina media for putting together a fantastic launch & Johnny and Andrea for joining Become in our efforts to make the menopause a much more comfortable experience for women & to take the heat out of the menopause by making hot women cool.
